Spalt Select Hops German Spalt Select Hop Profile Developed at Hüll Hop Research Center, Spalt Select has fine aroma and high farnesene content that are typically found in Spalt-type hops. A quintessential German lager hop, Spalt Select has mild alpha (3-6.5%) and a blend of citrus, woody and herbal flavors. Agronomically, this variety grows quickly with strong tolerance to diseases like wilt and downy mildew.  Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for the 2025 crop only.
