Twin Teaks
Provincetown in April "Though we live in Harwich, Sharon and I like to rent cottages on the Cape or the Islands. It sounds crazy, but inhabiting a place an hour or so away offers opportunities for intimate and in depth exploration of new and interesting landscapes and activities that you may never pursue while at home. Provincetown harbor is one of our favorites. The deck on which these teak chairs rest is so close to the bay that the water laps against its boards with each high tide. Enthralled with the shadows cast by them near noon, I decided to set them together to form a chair sundial that would tell you the exact time when the shadows were perfectly symmetrical – 11:35 am. OK, I’m crazy. However, wouldn’t you want to be seated there listening to the waves and watching that solitary distant cloud scud across the sky?" -Jon Vaughan, Photographer Fine Art 11” x 14” Photograph by Jon Vaughan, dry mounted on acid-free foam board, custom cut and hinged on an acid-free matte.
