Winter Mooring
Chatham in December "On this particular day – the last day of December, Stage Harbor froze over locking this sailboat in an icy grip. Executing the shot was tricky because it was snowing heavily. The flakes were huge and all it would have taken was one to fall into the lens to blur the picture. Fortunately and unusually, there was no wind so the flakes fell straight down while I executed the shot. I discovered later that the boat’s name was “Bananas” – suitable given its color and that it was a little crazy to leave it on it’s mooring in late December." -Jon Vaughan, Phototgrapher Fine Art Photograph by Jon Vaughan, dry mounted on acid-free foam board, custom cut and hinged on an acid-free matte.
