Knitting 101 for Kids (8-12)

Our infamous beginner's knitting series for children consists of four 90-minute classes. Over the course of four classes, your child will learn to cast on your foundation stitches, the knit and purl stitches and how to combine them, and bind off your stitches.  You will need to buy US7, 8, or 9 needles and worsted weight yarn. You will use these supplies to learn in class and practice at home—yes, we assign homework and expect you to complete it before your next class! The cost of class does not include yarn. After you complete the course, you will pick out your first project, and we will teach you how to read and follow your pattern, and finish it by weaving in your ends and blocking the piece for a beautiful project your friends, family, and co-workers will envy. Most of our classes are one-on-one, unless you schedule a class with your friends. We keep our class sizes small so we can give each student our undivided attention, and we have two teachers for slightly larger groups.   F
