Bowen shawl

The new Bowen shawl will definitely become one of your favorite shawls to wear. It's an easy knit, it's colorful, it's also big and the yarn makes it incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. The yarn gives the shawl a lovely bit of heft as well as texture, so you just feel that you want to wrap yourself up in it. The crescent shape keeps growing from the top down, with small stripes, then larger ones and finally, the bottom border was inspired by the projects in my Idris collection (see them when you scroll down). The bottom edge is bound off with the first two colors from the striped section held together. The simple knit and purl stitches used with a couple of interesting ways to increase the size are effective and easy enough for an advanced beginner to create. Love, that....
