Moses Kiddush Cup and Plate

This cup and plate set was designed in the 1960's. It is made of sterling silver, gold-plated silver on the inside, and adorned with nine garnet stones. It measures 4" high, and the plate is 5¾" in diameter. The plate is decorated with a grape vine, a palm tree, a stack of barley and a jug of oil, all replicas of ancient coins from the region. The cup features a rabbi reciting the blessing over the wine, a pair of kissing doves symbolizing peace, and an old portrayal of Jerusalem. Both plate and cup have seven-branched menorahs and are embellished with intricate traditional filigree.  Stamped with Yemini triangle emblem Yaacov Yemini, Sterling 925, ירושלים
