The Etrog box was designed in 1950. The oval container measures 5½” in height and 6½” in length and is made with sterling silver, red garnets and turquoise stones. This piece is an ultimate representation of Yaacov's unique integration of traditional techniques learned from his collaboration with Yehia and his own increasingly more modern interpretation of form and function. He preserves the tension between the smooth silver surface and the decorative framework by means of intricate filigree embellishment set with precious stones.
