Subject: Famous Belgians - Albert VII (1559-1621) & Isabella Clara Eugenia (1566-1633) Medalist: Adolphe Christian Jouvenel (1798-1867) This is a lovely very high relief obverse 46mm bronze medal celebrating the joint rule of Albert VII & Isabella Clara Eugenia. A rich brown patina has developed over the red toned bronze metal. Trace verdigris can be seen on the reverse. The reverse text celebrates the reign of the Archdukes and a return of "long exiled" arts once again made the pride of Belgium under their rule.
