Grade: Brilliant Uncirculated This issue was struck in commemoration of the independence of Texas in 1836. The obverse features a large 5 pointed star situated behind an eagle while the reverse displays an allegorical winged Liberty flanked by the busts of General Sam Houston and Stephen Austin. Struck from 1934 to 1938 it was struck across all three mints between 1935 and 1938. We are selling it here as a type coin with dates and mintmarks of our choosing.
