Antique Australian Prohibition Mothers Day pin back celluloid badge. Dating to the late 1910's or early 1920's this vintage button badge was issued by the New South Wales Youth Program to celebrate mothers. Part of their goal was to promote temperance within the home by honoring the mother and appealing to youth groups to abstain from alcohol which generated healthy homes. Words on front: Mothers Day NSW YP Prohibition Council A great addition to your antique prohibition or temperance collection. MEASUREMENTS Button measures 0.8" diameter and weighs less than 0.1oz.
