The Society of Executors of Pious Dispositions is an ancient institution dating back to the 13th century. It manages the legacies of benefactors and operates in the field of social solidarity, providing care for the elderly at the socio-healthcare complex known as Le Ville di Porta Romana. In accordance with the wishes of its benefactors, the Society also oversees the Piccolomini Palace Museum in Pienza, the Museum of Ancient Sienese Art, and many other cultural sites. Abbadia Ardenga is one of the Society’s estates, with its proceeds dedicated to supporting social and cultural initiatives. Nestled in the heart of the Val d’Orcia and the renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine region, the winery is located along the historic Via Francigena route.
