Castello di Verduno winemaker Mario Andrion teams up with Gabriele Saffirio at Azienda Agricola 499. Their mission is to apply their youthful energy and enthusiasm to the production of excellent, sustainable, site-specific Moscato d’Asti. The company is named for the altitude in meters-above-sea-level of their best moscato vineyard. They produce a mere 6000 bottles in a small cantina near the Langhe hamlet of Camo. Its delicate sage, mint and apple hints together with its delicate bubbles, make this Moscato perfect when paired with desserts or as dessert!
