Bodega de Edgar - Albarino 2023 (750ml)

Winemakers Notes Vision The Albarino is farmed by the Dusi Family. We picked the Albarino twice over the course of harvest to gain greater complexity through blending. We ferment this wine in temperature controled stainless steel tanks to drive the aromatic profile and keep the wine fresh and light on its feet. At roughly 495 cases this is one of the larger production wines under Bodega de Edgar aimed at being avaliable through distribution. Vintage Notes Firstly the 2023 vintage was fantastic for the whites and roses. Lots of winter rain and a much cooler growing season meant a longer hang time with lower sugar accumulation. Ultimately it allowed us to get a more fully evolved wine with great acidity and lower alcohol. Tasting Notes Bright saline aromas of ocean air, kefir lime leaf and wet limestone notes introduce a fresh and zippy wine with lean citrus fruit components that give over to an austere minerality. Crushed chalk, wet slate, and lime pith carry throughout the palate
