Here’s a variety that Argentina does so well. And this is a terrific example of it. Loads of red fruits on the nose with a plummy, vanillin raspberry thing happening. The palate is delicious – it’s soft and supple with rounded fruit flavours, but there is a fine chalky tannin to hold the line.
