Château Trotanoy - Pomerol 2005 (750ml)

Château Trotanoy is a leading Pomerol estate, situated atop a high plateau neighboring Château Pétrus. Trotanoy’s wines can be every bit as dense, structured and profound as Pétrus, with distinct freshness and minerality that goes beyond the realms of most Merlot, from grapes grown on one of the earliest ripening sites in Pomerol. Trotanoy’s 20 acres have been under the stewardship of Jean-Pierre Mouiex since the early 1950s and today Christian and Edouard Moueix manage the estate. The 2005 is rich and complex, a touch spicy and a bit floral; it can be drunk now but will benefit from even more time in the bottle.
