Domaine Pfister - Mélanie Pfister Mel 2020 (750ml)

Blends in Alsace have a bit of a bad rep. The traditional blend, called Edelzwicker, is usually made up of leftover bits-and-pieces in the tanks, blended up to make a simple and inoffensive white wine. Inspired by her travels, and especially by her experience at Cheval Blanc in St Emilion, Mélanie set out to make the absolute best blend she could. It’s made from the four noble grape varieties of Alsace - Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat and Pinot Gris. Each grape variety adds something special to the blend. You land up with a highly aromatic, fresh and exotic white wine, one that will please all lovers of white wine - I’m sure of it. It’s also incredibly versatile with food - everything from starters to white meat and fish.
