Freddy Nerks - Rosso 2016 (750ml)

The Rosso is a blend of varieties that are from the more vigorous parts of the vineyard or wine that has been excluded from the small volume luxury offerings of Freddy Nerks. The varieties are vinified separately and aged predominantly in stainless steel tanks. The style of wine is medium bodied and fruit forward. An honest blend that captures the essence of Kuitpo rather than promoting the characteristics of the individual varieties. It reminds me of the humble “village” wines of France and Italy I become accustomed to during my time as a flying winemaker.
