Hidalgo (La Gitana) Amontillado Napoleon NV (500ml)

The Hidalgo La Gitana Napoleon Amontillado is 100% Palomino Fino that has aged for between 6 and 20 years in the Bodega's solera in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. It is named Napoleon because during the Peninsula War of 1807-1814 Hidalgo sold wine to Napoleon's French Army (though at the same time it also sold wine to the Duke of Wellington's army). Deep amber color with aromas and flavors of dried fruit, nuts, spice, honey and a slight saline mineral tinge. The palate is dry and soft with moderate concentration and an extreme drinkability for an Amontillado.
