Sierra Reed has spent years as a vagabond as she travelled the world soaking up as much wine knowledge as possible. She has settled in Western Victoria, intent on crafting small batches of intricate wines with as few adornments as possible. This is her Knife Edge Shiraz sourced from the Best's Surgarloaf Creek vineyard in the Grampians. She knows her way around a Victorian Shiraz from her days at Mount Langi Ghiran and it shows in this release. A deft touch applied here. It's a supple, feathery style of Shiraz replete with clean blue fruits and shot with spice. It's a wine built for the lovers of more elegant, streamlined reds, more about subtle pleasures than raw power.
