Sassaia Gavi Blue Label 2020 (750ml)

This wine is made from Cortese vines and has NO SUGAR with less than 1 gram of Carbohydrates and only 110 calories per 5 oz. Serving, all printed on TTB compliant back label. On the palate, the wine is round with balanced acidity and with hints of dried fruit and almonds. The well-rounded and confident nature is best explained by the attention given to hand harvest, hand sorting and strict temperature control throughout the wine making process. After soft pneumatic pressing and cold steeping for 48 hours, it is aged for 6 months in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and bottle aged for an additional 4 to 6 months prior to release. It is a brilliant lemon gold color with aromas of honey and citrus. A good acidity on the palate balanced with a great roundness. Those who are familiar with Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay will find this wine to be closer to a full-bodied Chardonnay and very food friendly. Crisp finish. Serve at (45-55F).
