Vieux Château Gaubert Benjamin de Vieux Château Gaubert Blanc 2020 (750ml)

Here, in Graves, Dominique Haverlan rebuilt an entire estate and replanted over 25 hectares of vines with his own two hands. It makes for a wonderful story, even if the work required was colossal. In the summer, the thin, dry soils of the gravelly terroir force the vines to deliver their very best. The results are magnificent, vintage after vintage. The nose is fruity and offers a certain small power/concentration. It reveals notes of yellow peach, acacia/acacia flowers, small notes of crunchy nectarine associated with small touches of crunchy nectarine associated with small touches of apple and hints of exotic fruits. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, minerality, a small compact/tight side, a certain tension, a small power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy apple, lychee, small notes of acacia associated with touches of exotic fruits, crunchy nectarine as well as hints of apricot, a subtle hint of kumquat and bee wax. Good length.
