The Greek Easter candle know as a lambada is the traditional decorated candle held on Holy Saturday before Orthodox Easter (Anastasi). The candle is brought to the church service unlit. At midnight, the church goes dark symbolizing Christ’s death. Then, one by one, the Paschal candles are lit throughout the church symbolizing the resurrection and bringing the light of Jesus to all. It is customary for Godparents to gift an Easter lambada to their Godchild. Our lambadas are hand dipped in a swirl of wax and decorated by our family in our small home studio in classically elegant designs. The candle choices are updated each Lenten season.  We can customize candles per request. The candles come beautifully gift boxed. Candles are unscented and are 12” long.
