Description: This is a light-medium weight, minimally translucent  Ohshima tsumugi (pongee) silk from the Amami Islands, Japan. The fabric black foreground of many sizes,  Chrysanthemum flowers of various sizes in black with a background field of blue; Note also the characteristic tiny pixelated grid caused by the Ohshima weave method; the fabric is smooth and has 1/4 inch / 6.35 mm selvage on both sidesPlease view our close-ups.
