Lightweight leggings and long johns are a fine rib knit and are intended to wear as an undergarment or as a stand-alone legging in warm/moderate weather. Terry wool is a bit heavier and has nice squishy loft to the material. These are intended to wear as a pant rather than a base-layer. Long Johns and Terry Pants feature a cuff at the ankle.
