100% Poplar Wood Handcut and Sanded Natural Wood; no stain Each Poplar Presser is handcrafted individually by my hubby; no two Pressers are identical. Apologies for the very well used (stained) ironing board. The last three photos demonstrate how you use the pressing stick to press seams open. The width helps to lay the fabric flatter. Simply finger press to help hold it open and then carefully press the seam open. The natural wood also helps to hold the fabric with no slippage. It's possible to get a custom size pressing stick.
