Octavo (7.375 x 4.375 inches; 188 x 110 mm.). 208 pages. Numerous illustrated plates inserted throughout and reconciled with the pagination. Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front board stamped in gilt; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket. Spine gently leaning; front board very slightly splayed; corners just barely bent. Top edge of the text block with just a touch of soiling. Dust jacket spine panel very faintly tanned with a couple soft diagonal creases near the crown; scant, trivial edgewear and a few instances of insignificant spot soiling. Very good. Text in German.
