Frontispiece portrait affixed to the verso of the half-title, another affixed portrait on page [57] and eight plates, with two gravure illustrations each, inserted throughout and included in the pagination. Publisher's binding in the original wrappers, printed in brownish-red and black; text block edges untrimmed; no endpapers. Spine leaning very gently; backtrip and margins faintly tanned; trivial wear to the joints and edges; small bruise on the rear wrapper; few instances of faint soiling. Slightly over-opened at the hinges. Near fine. Text in French, English, Spanish and German.
