Mixed Media Collage Triptych (Panel #1) 32 x 48 inches (c.) May 2022 Description: Panel 1 illustrates a story based on the spiritual place known as Al A’raf in the Quran, The Bardo in Hinduism, and Purgatory in Catholicism. It is the border between heaven and hell where those balanced in food and evil dwell. I have a reoccurring dream where I visit this realm teeming with bad angels, good demons, jazz musicians, and revolutionary heathens. In this panels you can find martyrs and controversial people who have changed the course of history. One in particular who’s large eyes, nose and mouth is the rapper poet we all have come to know or love. This triptych is an homage to Hieronymus Bosch and his Garden of Heavenly Delights.
