🧵 Live on Zoom | April 15th | 6:00-8:30 PM CST Beginner Virtual Course The Flow Method: Burlap Yarn Portrait Foundations This beginner class introduces the foundational techniques of the Flow Method, a textile art style that combines burlap, yarn, and adornment to create expressive, dimensional portraits inspired by African, tribal, and Afro-futuristic aesthetics. Art piece name is Tazira-“She Who carries a quiet fire within” Students will learn how to shape burlap into a simple facial form, attach yarn to create sculptural hair, and begin building the textured style used in Zam Ghuden textile portraits. The focus of this class is understanding the method and learning the basic structure so students can continue developing their piece after class. No prior experience is required.
