Preserved Lemons

Preserved Lemons are added to many dishes as a tangy ingredient or simply as a garnish. Use them liberally by tossing them in a salad or your favorite Moroccan dish. It is an essential ingredient to the cooking of tagines. Our preserved lemons are a blend of lemons, salt and distilled water aged over six weeks for the perfect texture and flavor. This method encourages the lemon to lose its sharpness and creates a unique flavor and silken texture that is characteristic is Moroccan cooking. Once the jar has been opened, preserved lemons will keep in the refrigerator for up to a year. Size: 16 oz (approximately 2 1/2 - 3 lemons, depending on size.
