It makes it easier to swap out your lens. The lens grips on this cap are the same as the twist-to-remove caps that come with a typical lens. It does not lock, but has a tighter grip than the most twist lens caps. One cap per order, each cap holes two lenses. Sorry, no longer available in colors, but you can paint or dye the material.
