A green yodama (tree spirit) uses a purple staff to make her way through the intertwined trees and foliage of the dense forest. Rich greens, purples, and yellows blend seamlessly, evoking a sense of mystery and enchantment.  This scene was based on the little woodland near my house. This contemporary fantasy landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors. This painting will hang just fine on a nail (or may be framed). Additional hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost, if wanted).   Artist: Laura Milnor Iverson.
