Sudden Storm in May Two oak trees stand on a golden hill in seas of wild rye grasses. Dramatic clouds in dark gray skies signal a sudden Spring storm. This California landscape, from San Mateo, is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
