Rare purple prickly pear cactus. This listing is for one gorgeous Opuntia ‘Santa Rita’ cactus pad (you root them by planting them in cactus soil, ideally on a warm day). This listing is for one real live cactus pad (3-5" each), the pad is unrooted. It will root easily when planted in gritty, well-draining soil. This cactus can grow quickly, especially when planted in ground. If planted in a container, the cactus size will be more contained. Pads can be removed to start new plants or keep cactus pruned. This rare cactus plant turns a deep purple in cold temperatures or extensive sun exposure. Great potted plant - have mine in a pot, even here in the Southwest.
