Tarazi Falafel Mix
Ingredients Fava Beans, Chickpeas, Spices, Sea Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Baking Powder (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cornstarch, Monocalcium Phosphate), Dehydrated Parsley, Sunflower Oil. Directions Baked Falafel: Mix 1 cup Falafel Mix with 3/4 cup water. Let stand for 30 to 60 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. On a baking sheet form mixture into 2 inch round balls using Falafel scooper or by hand. Spray the Falafel balls lightly with olive oil. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, rotating the pan at the halfway mark. (Make 12 Falafel balls). Traditional fried Falafel: Mix 1 cup Falafel Mix with 3/4 cup water. Let stand for 30 to 60 minutes. Heat 4 inches of oil on medium high heat (about 275 degrees-300 degrees F). Form mixture into 2 inch round balls using Falafel scooper or by hand. (Makes 12 Falafel balls).
