Narrow-Leaf Java Fern | Needle-Leaf Microsorum Pteropus
This is a form of Java Fern that has very narrow and long leaves, it stays more compact as well. It has coined the name “Needle-Leaf” Java Fern because of it’s long and very slim leaves compared to the regular Java fern. This plant is great for both beginners and experienced hobbyists! It stays short and compact enough for small tanks; such as shrimp or nano tanks, but grows large enough to make a nice mid-ground accent in larger tanks. This is an extremely versatile plant able to grow both inside the water and outside in high humidity environments. Grow this plant in tap water, low light, high light. When planting, place this plant’s rhizome along the substrate. This will allow the Java Fern to anchor itself to the type of substrate you have! In nature, this plant likes to attach itself to rocks or wood along river banks. It pairs well with our various driftwood.
