Uncoated and minimally processed, aniline leather is dyed so the color penetrates from top to bottom. As a result, the hand is soft and buttery. Minimal processing means minimal environmental impact. Your aniline leather will break in and show wear more quickly than a "vegan" or plastic product, but you'll reach for it time and again because the handfeel is just that good.
