40" Tall Galileo Thermometer
This is the LARGEST Galileo Thermometer currently on the market. This unit displays temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius from (60˚F - 96˚F / 14˚C - 34 ˚C). What is a Galileo Thermometer and how do I read it? A Galileo Thermometer is a sealed glass column containing multiple liquid filled orbs. As the temperature changes, these orbs rise and fall to indicate the current ambient temperature (within the range of 56˚F - 96˚F / 14˚C - 34˚F). Under normal conditions, the orbs will separate into two groupings. To read the thermometer, you must observe the lowest orb within the top group. The temperature imprinted on the tag of that lower orb will be the current temperature of the liquid (within 2˚F accuracy). If all of the orbs are at the bottom, the liquid is hotter than the maximum temperature and if all the orbs are the top, it is hotter. This item is finished with a hand process that creates a varying finished height, which may be slightly higher or shorter than the stated height.
