Don't Hide Your Talents

Story In looking at at Chelsea's blog posts from a few months ago called 'Don't Hide Your Talents', I found one of my favorite bit she wrote was the part about nurturing the things you're passionate about. Like Chelsea, I also started writing nearly a year or so ago now, working on a fictional story about my family. Writing is so incredibly hard because while I truly believe that all of us have a great story to tell, getting our thoughts out on paper is another challenge completely. Like Neil Gaiman says - "We write because we want to know how the story ends." I believe that talents are the same way - we practice because we want to know how far we can go - how good we can become. But how do we get better if we're doing it alone? Don't Hide Your Talents is such a wonderful reminder to me because it really makes you think. How often do you start practicing something new and you're too embarrassed to show anyone?
