Take It Slow - SS

Story While I have many examples that I could use for a beautiful story of why this card text is so prevalent and essential in my life, I want to focus on something that’s a universal experience for us all: growing up. When I was a kid, I couldn’t wait to be older. My brother is six years older than me, so I constantly saw him doing fun things that only older people could do. I was jealous! I wanted so badly not to be a silly kid anymore and just to grow up already. Well… Here I am now—an adult. And I wish I could stop growing up so fast. I feel like the past twenty-something years of my life flew by in a blink of an eye. It felt so rushed, and the sad part is: I won’t get any of that time back. So now, as I read this card text, it reminds me to take a deep breath and slow down—enjoy the life I have now and see the beauty of it rather than wanting to rush into the next chapter.
