Antique Dry Measure 1/2 Bushel from EB Frye & Son Wilton, N.H.
Description: During the earlier years, wooden buckets similar to this one were common for measuring dry ingredients. This larger 1/2 bushel, dry measure made by E.B. Frye & Son, now a historic landmark was manufactured in their Wilton, N.H. historic mill. It is slightly out-of-round and measures 14 1/4" - 14 3/4" in diameter with an overlapped and nailed seam. Constructed of bentwood with staples and round nails, it still retains their original green stamp. A wonderful collectible from the Northeastern region and displays handsomely!
