Antique Stoneware Salt Glazed Whiskey Jug One Gallon with Turkey Droppings
Description: This one gallon salt glazed Stoneware Whiskey Jug stands 9 ½” tall and weighs just over 5 pounds. It showcases nicely with natural color tones with aged patina and two turkey droppings. Turkey droppings or drippings occur from a salt glazing process when the rock salt was thrown into the kiln at a high temperature, going to the ceiling of the kiln sometimes mixing with ashes and over a period of time dripping down on the pottery. Since each piece of stoneware with turkey droppings are unique in their own way, they are a fun collectible. Will display nicely in a country or farmhouse setting.
