Antique Wooden Butter Mold Press Leaf and Acorn Plunger Style
Product Description: During the 19th century butter print molds were highly used in farmhouse kitchens to give their butter more of a unique characteristic. This rather large, three piece wooden butter mold is impressed on a round piece of wood that features a three Leaf and Acorn pattern with a saw tooth leaf stem that wraps under the acorn. The plunger screws into the print which is housed in a dome shaped exterior case. It aged gracefully although has acquired some issues over the years which are noted under "Condition" below.
