Large Antique Blue and White Sponged Stoneware Hotel Cuspidor Spittoon
Description: Larger Cuspidors/Spittoons were once commonly seen in hotels or larger public buildings during the 19th century when chewing tobacco was widely used. This early blue and white sponged decorated spittoon is a large and heavy one measuring just over 6 inches in height, 11 inches wide and weighing just under 10 pounds with a front opening for emptying. Although not perfect being over 120 years old with some wear and damage, it still can make an interesting home accent and conversational piece.
