Product Description: A fantastic opportunity to own this trio of “Three Little Pigs” papier mache hand puppets crafted in the Works Project Administration (WPA), a program that employed people on relief during the depression era. Puppets such as these were designed to encourage students to create plays using the characters. This collection a fine example of artistic work from a division which originated from this program. One pig is marked on the inner fabric with the WPA stamp. Featuring hand-crafted papier mache heads and hands with painted features. The body is an empty form with a lovely crafted cloth costume. A collection which is ideal for teaching early learning or to acquire as a piece of history.
