In stock form the Grand Prix has 11" rotors and single piston cast iron brake calipers. This is a far cry from a performance braking system and barely meets what we would consider minimum requirements to stop the car. This is a great, affordable brake upgrade. Many users have learned that the brakes found on late model Camaros and Firebirds are nearly compatible. We take the F-Body caliper kit and modify it so it simply bolts onto your car with no modifications needed. The F-Body setup features dual piston aluminum calipers that operate over a 12" rotor. Dual piston calipers allow much greater braking with the same fluid pressure applied. This makes for accurate, responsive braking with less effort.
