The Cost of War by Elsi Vassdal Ellis

In answer to the call of the New York Center for Book Arts “Celebrating Artist Members: 30th Anniversary Members Exhibition,” research on the many aspects of the war in Iraq led to the design and production of the something beyond a standard broadside. The directions were straight forward: create 100 finished copies of a broadside with a maximum closed size of 9 x 12 inches and it should reflect the type of work you do. I wanted to have a few extra copies of the broadside and so an edition of 125 was produced.
