A Girl's Promise 6" x 6" Abstract Original Painting

A Girl's Promise is an exploration of girlhood, whatever that means. All I can do is try. All you can do is try. All we can do is try. This was crafted while reflecting on understanding what is expectation and what is reality.  To be a woman, is to perform. And as exhausting as it is, it may be all we know. All we can do is try.    This is an original abstract painting with cut out poetry from an old recycled book. It is 6" x 6" on a canvas panel.  Due to the finicky nature of lighting, the true essence/colors of the piece may differ from screen to reality.
