The Aircrew Survival Egress Knife (ASEK) System from Ontario Knife Company is one of two military-issue knife systems designed specifically for downed airmen. This multi-role knife can be used for survival tasks ranging from escaping a downed aircraft to constructing a shelter to cleaning game. The complete system includes the ASEK Knife, Strap Cutter, and MOLLE Compatible Sheath. Features: The ASEK Knife has a 4.9 in. partially serrated blade made from 1095 carbon steel hardened to 55-57 HRC with a zinc phosphate coating. The Kraton handle has a hammer pommel with integral glass breaker. The ASEK Knife itself has an overall length of 10.2 in. and the full system weighs in a 1.35 lbs, including sheath and strap cutter. Each ASEK system includes a strap cutter with integral oxygen wrench, flat screwdriver, and honing rod. Made in USA. NSN: 1095-01-518-6832
