Autumn Reflections

This mirror is a true reflection of Fall's array of colors. INSPIRATION: The landfills ARE a big issue, but I had an impetus for reuse long before the landfills became a publicly discussed issue. I recycled at first because materials were scarce therefore there was always this kind of innovation around me in that way because that is how I grew up; making out of necessity.We never called it Upcycling or any of those names back then; in fact it would be quite embarrassing back then to have to explain that you were regularly reusing materials because we couldn't afford new!  However, now it IS something that is regarded well and there is something so fascinating to me, innovative and creative about these processes. I love making something aesthetically pleasing out of materials others might otherwise discard. I sincerely believe that creating with a dearth of materials brings out more creativity in me than new materials EVER do. It's fun and requires innovation and adaptation toward a pur
